Our History: Transforming Lives
A journey of vision, growth, and commitment to rehabilitation excellence
The Guiding Vision
Dr. M Shahadat Hossain
Elevating Standards, Building Capacity
The journey of ACPHS is rooted in the professional legacy of its Founder & Chairman, a distinguished physiotherapist and academic leader whose vision was to combine academic excellence with unparalleled hands-on clinical experience.
Agrani College of Physiotherapy & Health Science (ACPHS) was founded with a clear and compassionate vision—to elevate physiotherapy education, research, and rehabilitation services in Bangladesh to an international standard. The institution was created from the deep recognition that Bangladesh urgently needed more specialized and skill-based healthcare education.
Dr. M Shahadat Hossain's vision was to establish a center that would unify teaching and clinical practice, offering a unique platform to cultivate the next generation of highly competent, ethical, and research-driven physiotherapists for a high-demand sector.
The Path to Establishment
2006: The Foundation – ASPC Centre
The initial seed was planted with the establishment of the ASPC Manipulation Therapy Centre in Tangail. This centre quickly gained national recognition for its patient-centered, advanced manual therapy approaches and provided the crucial clinical success and institutional spirit that would lead to ACPHS.
Formal Establishment: ACPHS is Born
Responding to the national demand for structured education and skilled professionals, Agrani College of Physiotherapy & Health Science was formally established in Dhaka with the mission to cultivate the next generation of industry leaders.
Continuous Integration and Modernization
ACPHS established a dynamic academic community, enriched by highly experienced faculty, state-of-the-art laboratories, a digital research-enabled library, and a fully functional integrated physiotherapy hospital, ensuring real-world, evidence-based learning from day one.
Shaping the Future of Rehabilitation
Today, ACPHS stands not only as an educational institution but as a symbol of progress in Bangladesh’s health education landscape. We welcome students from diverse regions, preparing them with the knowledge, clinical expertise, and compassionate mindset necessary to contribute meaningfully to society, both at home and abroad.
